A Peer Fusion NAS Cluster is Compatible with NFS, CIFS, and iSCSI:

NFS:
NFS is used for remote access to storage by the various flavors of the UNIX and Linux operating systems. The PFFS® is accessible through NFS. Your NFS clients and application servers will immediately be able to mount PFFS gateways for access to their vast pools of storage.
CIFS:
CIFS is used for remote access to storage by the various flavors of the Windows operating systems. The PFFS® is accessible through CIFS. Your Windows clients and application servers will immediately be able to mount PFFS gateways for access to their vast pools of storage.
iSCSI:
The Peer Fusion NAS cluster can also be accessed as an iSCSI target for block-based storage.
