Peer Fusion Cluster Peer Software

The Peer software stores data and services requests from Cluster Gateways and the local Client Applications:

  • Service commands from the Cluster Gateway:
    • Systems calls (i.e. open, read, write, close, stat, etc.)
    • Namespace requests (i.e. symlink, link, rename, unlink, etc.)
    • Heal files, directories, and links.
  • Service requests from the local Client Applications for access to local data:
    • Systems calls (i.e. open, read, write, close, stat, etc.)
    • Namespace requests (i.e. symlink, link, rename, unlink, etc.)
    • Heal files, directories, and links.

A Peer Fusion Storage Cluster is a Tightly Integrated Group of Peers.

Peers are nodes in the cluster that store and process requests from Cluster Gateways.
